Clare's Circus offer fun events for children and circus skills workshops for people of all ages, throughout Wiltshire. Clare Evans is the Founder and Director of Clare's Circus. As you will see, she has an impressive pedigree and started performing at an early age!
1971
First Appearance - Born in Wimbledon, South West London.
1978 - 1990
Started violin at 8 years old.
Rudolf Steiner School Orchestra.
Started juggling at 16 years old.
Started school Circus Club.
Started teaching and performing at 17 at Fairs, Fetes and in Cabaret.
First Juggling Convention at 18, performing in front of 3000 people (mostly expert jugglers).
Qualified Gymnastics coach at 19.
1990 - 1997
Trained and performed with Circus Space, (now The National Centre for Circus Arts) the UK's leading Circus School specialising in juggling, diabolo, static and flying trapeze. Also performed in and stage managed cabaret and festival performances.

Trained in red nose clown with Gerry Flanagan, founder of Commotion and since 1998 Artistic Director of Shifting Sands Theatre.
Started working as a professional face painter and balloon modeller, parties, corporate events, promotional work.
1994
Trained in mime and physical theatre with Desmond Jones.
1995
Studied face painting with Charles Fox Theatrical Make up at Covent Garden. Joined Gandini Juggling Project as performer and workshop leader.
Joined Circa Rumbaba as acrobat, juggler, stilt walker and diabolo specialist.
1996
Zeddie & Co Circus, juggler, acrobat and magician's assistant.
1996 - 99
Studied acting at the School of the Science of Acting now The Academy of The Science of Acting and Directing.
1997
Started my first business, Artistic Faces, specialising in face painting and parties.
1999 - 2002
Lighting Technician London Coliseum, gained City and Guilds theatre electrics 181 qualification.
2002 - 04
Technical team, Lighting, Sound and Stage Management at Battersea Arts Centre.
2004 - 2011
Continued with my Artistic Faces business and had my children.
2010
Having stopped playing music at around 19 I restarted playing violin at 39 and had my first professional engagement in Nov 2012 playing violin and double bass.
2011
Started Clare's Circus to increase the scope of my own business and provide a wider range of entertainment services, I work with a team of people most of whom I have trained myself.
